The course aims at equipping the student with the basic skills required to provide the cost information needs of management for informed decisions. The nature and purpose of costing; accounting for cost and cost behavior, elements of cost (i.e. material, labour, overheads), target costing and divisional accounting are some of the topics to be discussed in this course.
