General management objectives guided by the FAO Code of conduct for responsible fisheries. Fishery regulation and policies. Fisheries law of Ghana. IUCN categories and criteria for threatened animals. Threatened species. Extinction in the aquatic wild. Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). Special conservation areas e.g. Marine protected areas and Ramsar sites. Framework survey of fisherfolks and communities. Traditional management and community-based management. Problems in the management of tropical multispecies stocks.
