This course will deal with types of information retrieval: manual/automated, fact/information, etc, types of data and data storage in computerized information retrieval systems, types of computerized databases: online catalogues, online databases, CD-ROM and Internet sites, Computer interfaces: menu, form, command and hypetext, Searching computerized databases; skills, behaviours, strategies and tactics, and practical searching of computerized databases.
