(Prerequisite: MTEN 313) Important property parameters. Failure: origins of brittle and ductile fractures. Analysis of fatigue failure, fatigue and slips, creep failure, wear failure. Techniques: fractography, penetrant techniques, ultrasonic, radiographic, eddy current, potential drop and magnetic methods of non-destructive testing.
