This course provides an overview of the 20th century Spanish Literature, focusing on the main literary trends and the different groups, studied within their socio-cultural contexts. All genres are going to be studied using texts by the most renowned authors. The aim is to provide indepth knowledge of the evolution of Spanish literature through all the changes that the art undergoes during the 20th century, including the Avant-garde, literature of political and social awareness and postmodernism.
