DANS 307 — Intermediate Dance Technique I

In this course, students will be taken through practical exercises in movement techniques covering dance motives from selected dance forms from Africa and the Diaspora. Students are expected to acquire knowledge and skills of executing movement and its clarity. They will gain insight to conduct an in-depth study of performance styles as practiced across the world, incorporating the instructor‘s personal or institutional views. Students will also be given practical assignments during the course.
