This course is aimed at helping students improve their writing ability. The specific objectives include: acquisition of good vocabulary, sound knowledge of grammatical rules, an awareness of idiomatic usages enhanced awareness of the twin principles of cohesion and coherence, punctuation and typography. All these principles will be combined and applied in activities such as letter writing, advertisements, announcements and obituaries.
