Fermentative production of citric acids. Biomass, biopolymer (e.g. polyhydroxy alkanaotes: PHAs, etc.) and single-cell protein (SCP) production. Solid state fermentation: enzyme production, mushroom production. Production of proteins via recombinant – DNA techniques.
