DANS 314 — Elementary Labanotation II

This course is a continuation of DANC 303 which focuses on the study of signs and symbols used in movement notation. The course provides students with knowledge and skills of applying Labanotation to the various dance movements they have been learning in dance technique and dance practical classes. It will include discussions on the complexities that may arise when using Labanotation; European tool to analyse African material.
