It gives students the knowledge, effective communication skills and critical thinking abilities essential for leadership positions in sport. Topics include definition of leadership; ways of conceptualising leadership; traits versus emergent leadership; leadership skills set assessment; competencies in leaders; principles of leadership; ethical and moral values of leadership and professional preparation and leadership.
