PESS 412 — Sport Psychology
Physical Education and Sport Studies · University of Ghana
This course leads students to understand how personality, self-concept, self-esteem, self-efficacy and other psychological characteristics relate to participation and performance in sport and physical activity. It also helps students analyze and understand motivational basis for sport as well as barriers to participation and special motivational issues in competitive sport. Additional themes will include career advice, team cohesion, flow states, exercise adherence, injury and recovery, need assessment and social psychology.
