PSYC 221 — Introduction to General Psychology

This course is designed to introduce students to psychology as a discipline and a profession. The emphasis is on the history of psychology, the different orientations available in the field and the basics of research in psychology. By the end of this course, students should be able to explain what psychology is, why it is important for them to study psychology and be adequately prepared for building up on their knowledge in higher levels of their study in psychology.
