Introduction: Ghana‘s GPRS goals and agricultural marketing; marketing vrs marketing research; definition and scope of marketing research; types of marketing research; purpose of a market research; factors that affect marketing research decisions; new products research. The marketing research process (I): problem definition and determining research objectives; determining research design and methods. The marketing research process (II): sampling approaches; data collection—primary and secondary; questionnaire construction and data entry. The marketing research process (III): data analysis—preparing the data for analysis, using descriptive statistics, using graphical analysis. The marketing research process (IV): overview of other analytical tools, effective report writing. Selected applications to marketing research: sales analysis, product and packaging, market research, distribution research, advertising research, motivation research
