This course aims at providing students with the theoretical basis of human resource development. It also enhances the understanding of the psychological basis of learning and teaching to enable students appreciate the role of education and training in organizational development and personnel needs. Theoretical basis of training (human resource development), Psychology of training, Principles and practices of training, The role of training in extension organizations, Knowledge, attitude and practices in extension delivery. Training needs assessment: job analysis, task analysis, job specifications and description, Training methodologies and approaches, Fitting training to organizational and personnel requirements, Monitoring and evaluation in training, training manual development, Training module development, selection of training methods for knowledge, attitude and practice development, Learning theories and training.
