Objective The objective of the course is to expose the student to the marketing of real properties and the principles underlying the practice of estate brokerage. At the end of the course the student will be able to function as an estate agent in marketing and other activities. Contents: Definition of marketing; Types of real estate marketing activities; market research, market analysis, market plan; Defining brokerage; role of the estate broker; relationship between Principal and Broker; Forms of contract; Methods of sale; Conveyancing procedures; Marketing; Practical issues with Brokerage – Registration, Fees, Deposits, Gazumping, Multiple Listing; Public auction; Advertising; functions of advertising, types of real estate advertising, advertising media, genera advertising rules; Ghana’s Estate Brokerage and Salesmen’s Bill.
