AGEX 204 — Vacation Rural Community Experience

This is a two month vacation experience where students live in rural communities and apply knowledge from FBO Development and Management, and Rural Development and Participatory Methodologies courses to improve their skills in community development work. This course aims at providing students with real life experiences of how rural communities and farmer organisations function and conditions that promote/hinder growth and sustainability of farmer organisations. Application of participatory methodologies to rural community work while living in the community. Living and working with rural communities, preferably farmer organisations to identify (1) indicators of development/underdevelopment, (2) rural problems and resources and (3) points of development interventions.
