AGEX 312 — Extension Programme Planning and Evaluation

This course aims helping students to appreciate the processes involved in programme planning and be able to plan programmes for development work. Concept of extension Programmes; Importance of an extension programme; stages of an extension programme; measures for enhancing effectiveness of extension programmes; Extension Programme Cycle; Concept of Planning; Programme implementation, Monitoring and evaluation of Extension Programmes; Post-implementation stage and Terminal evaluation of Extension Programmes. Practical session: Students will visit existing NGOs, FBOs, and Government institutions to acquire firsthand information on how they organise their programme planning activities. Students will undertake situational analysis of a rural community, analyse the data and identify a rural problem that needs intervention
