Cytoskeleton, Motility, and Shape: Actin-based systems (including muscle contraction), Microtubule-based systems, Intermediate filaments, Prokaryotic systems; Protein Synthesis and Processing: Regulation of translation, Post-translational modification, Intracellular trafficking, Secretion and endocytosis. Cells as organisms: bacteria life cycles, protozoa and algae, parasitic protozoa and fungi as free-living and parasitic organisms.
