Enzyme catalysed reactions: Time course of reaction; effects of various factors on reaction rate: enzyme concentration, pH, temperature, substrate concentration, activators and inhibitors; enzyme specificity; protease activity in plant extracts; purification of enzymes from plant juice; use of enzyme as an analytical tool (e.g. Estimation of urea in urine). Mini project: Isolation, purification and characterisation of a known enzyme.
